I served in the United States Marine Corps from September 1, 1960, until August 25, 1965, with an honorable discharge received June 1966 at the end of  my inactive reserve time.    My wife and I moved to Arizona at the end of August 1965.  We lived in the Phoenix area until 1975 and during that time I graduated from Arizona State University.  In 1975 we moved to Flagstaff where both my wife and I worked at Northern Arizona University until we retired at the end of 2003.  We moved to Cottonwood in 2003 and commuted to Flagstaff during our last year of employment.  While in Cottonwood we have been involved with the Verde Valley Detachment #1176, Marine Corps League, Cottonwood Police Department volunteer police program, and my wife has organized and operated the Verde Valley Toys for Tots program.
