Born in Iowa and moved to southern Arizona in 1967. Attended Casa Grande Union High School. Graduated in 1973. Received Bachelor’s degree in 1977 from NAU in Recreation Administration & Management. Hired by U.S. Department of Interior in 1977 as U.S. Park Ranger (Visitor Protection/Law Enforcement Specialist) stationed at Fire Island National Seashore, N.Y. Moved to the Grand Canyon by 1979 and married my wife Trina in 1982. Hired by the City of Casa Grande in 1988 with the Parks & Recreation Department. Hired by the City of Cottonwood as Director of Parks & Recreation in 1990. Currently working with the City of Cottonwood after 27 years as Community Services General Manager. I’m extremely proud to work with this organization in honoring all Veterans.   Though not a veteran, my Dad was drafted in 1951 and fought in major campaigns during the Korean War. Decorated during his service. My Uncle fought in WWII under General Patton. Brother served as a Major in the U.S. Air Force for 25 years.
